Mother's Month Special!

05/08/2013

Happy Mother's Month! During the entire month of May we're offering all mothers a FREE Jiu-Jitsu uniform when they sign up for any of our Beginner's Programs.

You may choose to either attend the women-only program or co-ed, which gives you more days to train. The program is recurring, which means it repeats itself after 12 weeks. You can start the program at any time and complete the 12 lessons in any order.

Most of our current female students started in the women-only class and added the co-ed classes to their training (recommended).

Tuition
$30 yearly due
$79/month (12-month agreement)
$109/month (12-week agreement)

Class Format
Classes are an hour long. They begin with a 10/15-minute warm up session, which includes exercises designed to improve our students athleticism and conditioning. Students then drill techniques on one another to improve reflex and coordination. In the end, more experienced students train with the supervision of a Black Belt Instructor.

This training method is the biggest confidence booster you’ll experience. You learn to apply the techniques on a resisting opponent who’s trying to counteract with their own moves. You’ll learn to think and react fast, improve your reflexes and cardio capacity. This type of training only occurs after completion of the 12-week program and although highly recommended, it is optional.

Class Schedule
Women’s class: Saturday at 9:00AM
Co-ed classes: Tuesday/Thursday at 7:15PM
Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 11:00AM

If you have no previous martial arts experience and want to learn how to defend yourself in a fun, safe, and cooperative learning environment, with a professional and experienced staff, our Academy is for you. For more information on our award winning Adult Jiu-Jitsu Program, click here.
You can also view pictures of the classes in progress here.

Why Gracie Jiu-Jitsu?
- The techniques are all leveraged-based. With proper combination of execution and timing, they’ll work on bigger and stronger attackers.

- Safe training methods of resistance (optional) trains you physically and mentally to perform under pressure.

- You’ll experience improved functional capacity, relieve stress, improve self-control, fitness and reduce body fat.

Check out this video from one of our female students, who decided to test herself and compete earlier this year. She never thought she'd be training, especially competing, but there she is! Look at her go!

Women's Rape Prevention Seminar Photos

04/27/2013

What a great time we had working with some of the women from around the community. From 14 to 50 year olds, everyone left the class feeling more educated about sexual assaults and how they can take place. We talked about prevention, escapes and strategies from getting away from an attacker standing and on the ground. Thanks all for coming out, information is POWER! ;)
