Congrats Rich Flores On Winning Gold @ The Jiu-Jitsu By The Sea Tourney In Santa Cruz Yesterday. This is Rich's 2nd gold medals in 2 consecutive weekends. Congrats also to Instructors Ernest Melo and Bobby Moksouphanh, for the awesome job preparing the competitors to every tournament Ronin Jiu-Jitsu enters!

Stockton Affiliate Competitors Take Home Several Medals

Ronin Jiu-Jitsu/Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Stockton went out to Sac to compete at the Warriors Quest Grappling tournament and brought home several medals. Another great showing by the 209 crew! Great Job Gen, Rich, Brandon, Jessie and coaches Ernest, Chuck and Bobby. The Kids also wen

Jiu-Jitsu Teens "Playing" Rescue Of The Princess

Besides being extremely fun, this "game" offers so many benefits. Mostly, it helps improve awareness of your surroundings and a sense of urgency in which defense to apply first in case of a multiple attacker scenario. It is also a great cardio work out as everyone is fully resisting and counter acting with their own moves. These can go from a few (like this one) to up to 15 minutes, depending on how the teams strategize.

The goal is to defend the assigned "Princess" and try to drag the opposing's team "Princess" to your field. The only way to get rid of opposing team's players is to submit them. If everyone on the opposing team gets submitted, game is also over. Very close supervision has to take place and only intermediate or above students must be on the "Battlefield."
